Classes

Below is a brief summary of what will be covered over a six week pregnancy yoga course. This summary is only a guide, and the classes will be tailored to your own ability, fitness and stage of pregnancy. My yoga classes can take place in your own home or another location of your choosing. 

 

Session 1

Relaxation and Breathing Techniques

Pelvic floor awareness and strengthening

Relaxation/meditation

Session 2

Yoga for bonding with baby

Pelvic floor strengthening

Discussion about pregnancy symptoms, e.g. headaches, backache – yoga tailored to help alleviate symptoms

Session 3

This session will cover all of the practices covered in the previous sessions; yoga for bonding with baby, pelvic floor strengthening and yoga to alleviate pregnancy symptoms

Releasing your inner goddess – yoga to help you feel strong and powerful

Yoga for Couples 

If your partner would like to be involved in practicing yoga with you I also offer couples yoga sessions. Couples yoga is a beneficial practice in preparation for labour and will help you gain a greater understanding of eachother's bodies. It also teaches important skills for birth partners to give them a greater understanding of the value of their role in childbirth.
